Train life

Last night, we caught the train to Seattle. We catch the train at Union Depot at about 10:30 at night.  It was a little late getting in. The kids were impatient to get on the train. We have two roomettes across from each other. Pretty cool. Nick stayed with Dad and Kayla stayed with me. We roamed around but there wasn’t a lot to do and we were tired so we settled down around 11:30 or midnight. The roomettes were set up for bedtime already. Kayla wanted me to stay on the lower bunk with her, which were very tight quarters.  I tried top bunk which would be fine. I could sit up or turn around well; however, if you back in the way you came out, you’re good. It’s now Saturday, midday. It’s like we are in our own tiny ecosystem.the roomettes are smaller than our couch. Dan will be relaxing by the lazy river, while Kayla peppers him about the schedule and Nick tries to figure out how he can connect while tubing down one of the big slides. Again, living the dream.  I am expecting a full report from Nick on this blog on the daily events. I want to know: What was the most exciting or fun ride The hotel room What you ate for dinner Did you do anything besides swim?  Report please:-)

This blog, I hope, will be a way for us to commemorate the events on that trip and maybe get a a few laughs along the way. This blog is a dialogue between me and my son, Nick. I'm really interested in getting his thoughts on this trip. So here goes the experiment. Nick, what do you think? I think this trip will be fun and I hope I will have a really fun experience during this trip to Seattle. What I am excited for is, the train ride because we will have fold out beds and will sleep on the train which will be fun.     Once we arrive we will go to a car museum and see different generations of cars. Once we are done with that we will go to Pike Market. And the Gum wall is near there. Mom: Nick, you have no idea - we have so much planned for our time there. We will be staying in Tacoma for the first few nights in a hotel that is on t...
